Riot Games, the creator of League of Legends, is known for celebrating certain events such as Christmas and Halloween. Speaking of the latter, players of the said game should expect a lot of temporary changes that will last for a brief period of time. This year, it seems that the game developer plans to make the LoL world darker as it has already unveiled its limited edition Halloween icons and skins.
Here’s the thing. The Halloween event which is usually called as Harrowing will most likely revolve around a new theme. It’s going to feature a new champion and this champion will be no other than Elise, the Spider Queen. She will be joined by Karthus, Mordekaiser, Hecarim, Yorick and Evelynn. Together, the six champions will rule and swore their allegiance to the Shadow Isles.
As for Elise, she will be equipped with the ability to switch from a human form to a spider form. Now if you think that her human form is totally harmless, you’re wrong. As a matter of fact, she can cast a deadly Spider Swarm spell that can intoxicate her target with venom. As for her more vicious form, the Spider form, Elise has the ability to initiate a Venomous Bite that will aggravate the damage that she has already inflicted on her target. In some way, her character can be described as “sexy but deadly”. She will lure you into her trap, tempting you to fall into her charm and before you knew it, it would be too late for you to escape.
Aside from the fact that Elise will be a part of the game’s major Shadow Isles update, Riot also announced that its avid League of Legends players will be able to make use of the game’s four new “Sinister” skins. Ward skins will also be available and there’s also a possibility that the developer will release a new teaser for its new map which is believed to be a remake of the Twisted Treeline map.
