Few Basic Terms:

Hands: Hand is the combination of cards the player holds


Pot: The pot is an accumulation of money which the players bet during the course of the game in every round and the winner of every round wins the pot as prize


Split Hand: If two players wins the round with the same hand then the pot will be split between the players equally which is known by the term split hand


Showdown: At the end of the last round players will be asked to turn over their cards which is known as the showdown and the player with best hand will be selected as the winner


Important Betting Terms:

Call: A Player may call a bet by putting in an amount equal to the bet amount into the pot. Example: If Mike bets $10 then Jack can call a bet by putting in $10 into the pot


Raise: A Player may raise a bet by putting in an amount greater than the earlier bet amount into the pot. Raise should be atleast double the size of earlier bet. Example: If Mike bets $10 then Jack can raise a bet by putting in $20 into the pot


Check: A player may pass his turn without any bet by clicking on the Check option and this can be done only when there are no previous bets. Example: If Mike passes his round without betting by using the check option then Jack will also have the option to check and pass over


Fold: A player may fold his hand by surrendering his cards to the dealer and thus quitting from the round of poker. Example: If Mike bets $10 but Jack doesn’t want to bet then he can surrender his cards to the dealer by using the Fold option
